Senior Adviser – International Center for Research on Women, Washington, DC
The International Center for Research on Women (ICRW) is looking for a
full-time senior adviser to lead projects on population, development and
women's empowerment.The
ideal candidate will have subject-matter expertise and professional experience
in population and reproductive health issues, and in women's empowerment,
especially on issues such as adolescents and transitions to adulthood, child
marriage, sex selection, fertility trends, maternal health, and reproductive

Assistant Professor Dept. of Geography and Earth Sciences, Univ. of North Carolina at Charlotte
The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Department of Geography and
Earth Sciences is recruiting a tenure-track, assistant professor specializing
in environmental remote sensing for appointment in July 2012. Required
qualifications: 1) a doctoral degree in a relevant field at the time of
appointment; 2) ability to develop and maintain an externally funded research
program on remote sensing of the natural and/or built environment; 3) ability
to teach remote sensing courses at the graduate and undergraduate level to
diverse student populations; 4) ability to contribute to the Department’s

Tenure-Track Position Department of Sociology, DePaul University, Illinois

full time graduate research assistant

I am looking for a full time graduate research assistant to work on a
NSF funded project on human-computer interactions and economics. The
tasks will include literature search and summary, help with running the
project experiments, data management, statistical / econometrical
analyses, and drafting of papers.

The ideal candidate would have an interest in labor economics and/or IO,
but the main requirement is quantitative skills and familiarity with
Stata or other statistical software. Programming experience is
preferred, but not require; the Computer Science graduate students on
the project will be responsible for the main programming. The hope is
that the successful candidate will be able to co-author and/or run
experiments for their own research.
The position is for 20 hours a week and includes full tuition. The
project is funded for three years. The initial appointment will be for
nine months with the possibility of extension and the appointment will
start as soon as possible. The hope is that I will make a selection at
the end of next week. The research assistant may be require to work at
Seattle University for at least part of the time.
