Wolfram Alpha -- A New Website of Interest
WolframAlpha.com, a "computational knowledge engine," was recently launched. It uses Stephen Wolfram’s Mathematica, a computational software program, to crunch out the answers to user's questions. The website is at http://www.wolframalpha.com/
On the example page it shows how to search for a various type of information, including socioeconomic data, statistics & data analysis, and places & geography (demographics is listed under socioeconomic data). When you get your results, you can scroll all the way down to the sources information link to see where they pulled the data from.
