CSDE welcomes our newest Computing Core member - Erich Von Schiller.Erich joined the CDSE Computing Core in April 2007 after relocating to Seattle from Anchorage, Alaska. Prior to joining the UW, Erich worked as a technology consultant and desktop technician for the University of Alaska. His broad technical background covers over a decade of supporting the technology needs of a wide variety of companies, technical contracting agencies, start-up dotcom organizations, and higher education institutions in the Pacific Northwest. In the past, Erich has also intigrated his love for European travel, culture, and linguistics with his technology focus by tutoring technical English to native speaking Czech and German high tech professionals in Prague, Czech Republic. Erich finds working in a diverse educational setting to be exceptionally rewarding and he looks forward to further developing his career path in computer network technologies as well as expanding his academic and cultural interests here at the UW. Erich's main goal with the CSDE is to to enable technology to meet the individual needs of the department and in turn maximize the educational benefits the organization can provide from its investments in technology and personnel.
