Bob Plotnick awarded NIA Grant

Bob Plotnick has received a grant from the NIA for his study "Effect of Childlessness on the Economic Well-being and Health Status of Elders." The project will develop a strategy for empirical analysis that can provide better and more comprehensive analyzes of this issue than we currently have, and use the strategy to provide new evidence about the relationship between childlessness and outcomes such as income, wealth, poverty status, satisfaction about one’s financial situation and, on the health side, self-reported health, limitations on activities of daily living, functional limitations, mental health, and mortality.
