Zheng Wu Elected President of the Canadian Population Society

We recently learned that Zheng Wu is serving a two-year term (2008-10) as President of the Canadian Population Society. CPS aims to work toward the improvement of knowledge and understanding about the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of human population; promotes the study and development of the science of demography in both its empirical and theoretical aspects; and fosters interest in, and the interchange of ideas on population, among professional and other interested persons working in the field of population studies.
