Leontine Alkema

Leontine Alkema received her PhD in 2008 for her dissertation "Uncertainty assessments of demographic estimates and projections." Leontine is currently working as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Earth Institute and Department of Statistics at Columbia University.

Amy Kate Bailey

Fellowship Years: 2003-2004

Amy Kate Bailey obtained her PhD in 2008 with her dissertation on "The effect of veteran status on spatial and socioeconomic mobility: outcomes for black and white men in the late 20th century." Amy is now working at Princeton University as a Research Associate for the Office of Population Research.

Giedrius Blazys

My areas of interest are investment in human capital, family formation and intrahousehold allocation. I am interested in analyzing how changes in family structure and technology influence income inequality by changing investment choices in various skills, specialization patterns and amount of work hours.

Anoshua Chaudhuri

Jennifer Hook received her PhD in 2006 for her dissertation entitled "Care in Context: Men's Unpaid Work in Advanced Industrialized Countries, 1965-2003." Geoff Kushnick

Fellowship Year: 2006

Geoff Kushnick received his PhD in 2006 with his dissertation entitled "Parent-Offspring Conflict among the Karo of North Sumatra." Geoff is currently a Lecturer for the Department of Anthropology here at the University of Washington.

Dawn Neill

Fellowship Year: 2006

Dawn Neill received her PhD in 2007 for her dissertation on "The effect of urbanization on parental investment decisions among Indo-Fijians." Dawn is now working as an Assistant Professor for the Department of Anthropology at the California Polytechnic State University.

David Nolin

Fellowship Years: 2007-2009

David received his PhD in the biocultural program of the Department of Anthropology in 2008. His dissertation was entitled "Food-Sharing networks in Lamalera, Indonesia: tests of adaptive hypotheses." David is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow for the Carolina Population Center at the University of North Carolina.

Ekaterina Stepanova

Ekaterina Stepanova received her PhD in 2006 with her dissertation entitled "Essays on the effect of demographic on household consumption. Ekaterina is currently working as a Project Leader, armed conflicts and conflict management at the Stockholm International Peace Research Institution.

Puk Teerawichitchainan

Puk Teerawichitchainan received her PhD in 2005 with a dissertation on the "Impact of War and Military Service on the Transition to Adulthood and Long-term Socioeconomic Achievement in Northern Vietnam." Puk has gone on to become an Assistant Professor at Singapore Management University.
