Research Summary:Jutta Joesch is a Research Associate Professor in the department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences. Currently, Joesch is working on the following studies: factors associated with variation in cesarean rates, depression in pregnancy and the postpartum period, and alcohol use and employment.
Prior to this work, Joesch conducted projects on illicit drug use and male employment; postnatal and postpartum care programs; the reciprocal relationships between child asthma and family resources; child gender and child care demand; child gender and employment of West German men; financing early care and education for American children; informal child care users and informal child care providers; the timing of women's return to the labor market after giving birth, and paid leave policies and women's labor supply.
