Biography : Karen M. Brooks joined CSDE in
January 2009 as Project Manager and Research Scientist for Migration and Social Dynamics - Unpacking the Black Box of Cumulative Causation, a research project funded by NSF. Prior to this, she was a Graduate Research Assistant for CSDE and a consultant for Princeton University's Office of Population Research. Before arriving at UW, she was a world history teacher and U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in Thailand. She has an A.B. mcl in Russian and Soviet Studies from Harvard, a Master in Teaching from Seattle University, and a Master of Arts in Sociology from the UW.
