Human mobility is a central feature of human history. Our footprints, pathways, and settlements express much about who we are as individuals, communities and societies. CSDE affiliates are at the forefront of research about migration and settlement and contribute towards new measures, study designs and models to capture the dynamics inherent in studying migration causes and consequences. Some of the topics CSDE affiliates investigate include the archeology of mobility and settlement, immigrant adaptation, migration and health, and the causes of migration.
