Cleaning and correction of data is an on-going processes.  A revised version of the VLS data were released in April of 2002.   Many of the corrections were made to improve the ability to match the data across years.  

These data files were corrected to insure that the same households and persons were matched each year and have consistent household and person ID numbers in each file.  Technical Memo Number 2 explains the evaluation methods used to correct the data.  Tables 1 and 2 show the number of households and persons interviewed in each year and the number of successful matches.
