General Access UNIX Computing

CSDE offers Sun Solaris and Debian Linux servers with software specialized for demographic research and statistics. The machines are available to all CSDE UNIX account holders, and can be accessed using ssh or X11.

  • CSDE General-Access UNIX Systems:

    • nova.csde.washington.edu (64-bit sparc, solaris 9)
    • libra.csde.washington.edu (64-bit, x64, 2.6.x kernel, Ubuntu 8.04 LTS [FreeNX/NoMachine Capable])
    • union.csde.washington.edu (32-bit, x86, 2.6.x kernel, Ubuntu 8.04 LTS [FreeNX/NoMachine Capable])
