GIS Facilities
Access to GIS Software
Demographic researchers interested in GIS have several options for working with ESRI's ArcGIS
software on and off campus. Affiliates, staff and demography students have access to GIS and many
other computing resources provided by the
CSDE Computer Core.
Computer Lab
- The Windows XP computer lab houses 16 workstations funded by the Student Technoogy Fee and available for
use by any CSDE student
- All lab computers are running ESRI's ArcGIS 9.3

Terminal Servers
- Windows Terminal Servers allow users to log in to the CSDE domain, access files, and use numerous
software packages from any networked computer in the world
- ESRI's ArcGIS 9.3 is installed on ts1, ts2, and ts3

Computing Accounts
Use of the CSDE lab computer and network resources requires an account in the CSDE Windows domain.
