GIS Workshops  Intro to GIS | Coordinates Systems | Exploratory Spatial Data Analysis | Points and Surfaces | GWR | Spatial Regression | Spatial R
The goal of CSDE's GIS workshops is to provide a rapid introduction to GIS and its application to demographic research. Please see Data and Resources for additional self-guided training on the web and formal coursework at UW. Every quarter we offer an Introduction to GIS workshop, composed of two 3-hour sessions. Upon completion, participants will possess a basic working knowledge of GIS and ESRI's ArcGIS software as applied to population studies. Addtional workshop topics offered on a rotating basis include: exploratory spatial data analysis, geographically weighted regression, spatial regression, coordinate systems, and mobile GIS for field data collection. Please let us know if there are GIS topics that might be of interest. Spring 2013 WorkshopsThe CSDE GIS program will not be offering GIS Workshops during the current quarter. We will begin teaching workshops again in the Winter 2013 Quarter. The next workshop schedule will be posted mid-November. To register for the workshops, please complete the Registration Form.
