UW Library Subject Guides

Population Centers
These are CSDE’s counterparts at other universities, many of which also maintain resources and guides for population researchers.

Research Resources for the Social Sciences
Maintained with commercial support from McGraw-Hill Ryerson publishers, this Canadian research bibliography is maintained by Craig KcKie at Carlton University, Ottowa. It arranges links to resources around the web into subject specialties, such as Demography, Women’s Studies, Geography, Psychology, Anthropology, Economics, and others. The lists of resources can be extremely long, and contain little explanation of where each link will lead. Not all resources are equally reliable or current. However, the lists do contain links to many useful resources worldwide.

Resources for Economists (RFE)
This guide is sponsored by the American Economic Association and edited by Bill Goffe. It lists more than 2,000 resources in 97 sections and sub-sections available on the Internet of interest to academic and practicing economists, and those interested in economics. The sections include, but are not limited to, data sources, forecasting, conferences, scholarly communication, teaching aids, and software. RFE also features the Econ Search Engine.
