  • SEA-AIDS
    SEA-AIDS is an e-mail discussion group on HIV/AIDS in Asia-Pacific, moderated by the Fondation du Présent in Geneva. Membership is open to anyone who is interested in the topic.

    Just the BASICS is an electronic newsletter highlighting BASICS II (Basic Support for Institutionalizing Child Survival) activities and updates on global and country developments.

  • DemoNetAsia
    DemoNetAsia is a collaborative network of population research institutes in Asia, set up at a Training Workshop on "Advanced Use of the Internet for Population Research" held at ESCAP in Bangkok in December 2000. It focuses on capacity building in new technologies of information and communication for demographic research and training at the member institutions.
     
  • H-DEMOG
    H-Demog is sponsored by the National Endowment for the Humanities and Michigan State University. It is an international scholarly online discussion list on demographic history.
     
  • Population and Health InfoShare
    Population and Health InfoShare is an electronic library of material submitted by partner organizations working in less developed countries. PH InfoShare features documents in reproductive and child health, HIV/AIDS, and population.
     
  • Population Reference Bureau's Email News
    PRB E-Mail News gives you better access to the latest information on important population issues and helps us fulfill our mission to be the leader in providing timely and objective information on U.S. and international population trends and their implications.

Gender

  • Interagency Gender Working Group (IGWG)
    IGWG is a network of nongovernmental agencies. It promotes gender equity within Population, Health and Nutrition (PHN) programs in order to improve reproductive health and HIV/AIDS outcomes and foster sustainable development. The IGWG listserv informs members about the group's progress and provides gender related news items including upcoming conferences, workshops, and presentations. Membership is open to anyone who is interested in the topic.

    AFRO-NETS (African Networks for Health Research & Development) promotes collaboration among the networks active in health research for development in Eastern and Southern Africa. Discussion topics include advocacy for health and research, priority setting, capacity building, research findings, and networking.
     
  • Community-Health-L
    Community-Health-L provides a forum for exchanging experiences in managing community health services.
     
  • Population Health Forum
    This forum addresses broad-based determinants of health to ask what makes a population healthy, be it the richest country in the world, the United States, or a poor one such as East Timor? Meetings will be held regularly to feature speakers and topics to inform the local community and inspire to action. Anyone interested in health issues is welcome.
     
  • Social Justice and Public Health "Spirit of 1848"
    We welcome posting on social justice & public health that provide: a) information (e.g. about conferences or job announcements or publications relevant to social justice & public health), and b) substantive queries or comments directly addressing issues relevant to social justice and public health.

Migration & Immigration

  • CISNEWS
    CISNEWS is a daily list of full-text news items from the Center for Immigration Studies. There are usually two long postings each business day, one for U.S. news and the other for overseas news, plus occasional messages listing new publications or upcoming events from around the world. There is a digest option, for those who prefer only one (very long) message per day. CISNEWS is partly supported by a grant from The German Marshall Fund of the United States.
     
  • This Week in Immigration
    This Week in Immigration is a less-comprehensive weekly roundup of links to immigration news, delivered Friday afternoons, for those don't need the depth that CISNEWS provides. The list also includes the same occasional postings on new publications and upcoming events as go to CISNEWS.
