SUDAAN® Short Courses

CSDE currently offers the following short courses taught by Anita Rocha (alrocha@u.washington.edu).


SUDAAN I: Introduction to SUDAAN for survey data

SUDAAN I: Introduction to SUDAAN for survey data

Duration: Two hours

This course assumes no previous experience with SUDAAN. However, students should meet the following basic criteria.
  • Know basic SAS syntax since we will be using SAS callable SUDAAN in class (Students that need review can attend one or more Introductory SAS classes.)
  • Intend to analyze data collected via surveys

Topics include

  • Introduction to cluster-correlated data in the survey setting
  • Inputting data
  • Descriptive procedures like CROSSTAB and DESCRIPT
  • Brief theory of parameter and variance estimation using SUDAAN
  • Modeling precedures like REGRESS and RLOGIT
  • Use of survey design variables
