CSDE currently offers the following workshop taught by Anita Rocha (alrocha@u.washington.edu).

Introduction to SAS

This workshop is given in two, 2-hour sessions, totaling 4 hours.

Note: This is not a statistics class. You will need to have taken a statistics class or have equivalent experience to benefit from learning to use this software.

Introuction to SAS

Duration: Two 2 hour hands on sessions

This workshop assumes no previous experience with SAS
Prerequisites: Familiarity with MS Windows environment and knowledge of fundamental statistical concepts.

Topics include

Navigating OUTPUT in the RESULTS window
Libraries and the EXPLORER window
SAS default features
Importing and exporting datasets
Creating and saving datasets
Viewing values and contents of data
Basic DATA STEP processing
Debugging via the LOG
Operations and functions
Formats, creating and assigning
Descriptive statistics procedures like PROC UNIVARIATE and PROC FREQ
Introduction to regression procedures like PROC REG and PROC LOGISTIC
