“Aging Across UW” Reception and Flash Talks
Posted: 4/15/2019 ()
Join CSDE on 4/18/2019, 4:00 – 5:30 PM, McMahon Hall, Pompeii Room, as we bring together students, faculty, and staff to discuss aging-related research and opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration. Selected faculty members from Health Services, Anthropology, Biology, Social Work, and the Simpson Center for the Humanities will give flash talks on their research agendas and aging-related research activities happening in their departments. Flash talk topics range from the demography of dog aging, to the role of technology in elder care, to health disparities among older LGBT+ populations. Light refreshments will be served and there will be opportunities for further discussion and networking. Students and faculty from across campus are encouraged to attend and form connections with other UW scholars working on questions related to aging, longevity, and wellbeing in later life.
