Issa Abdulcadir is a graduate student in the Sociology Department with research interests in identity formation among second-generation youth, urban spatial regulation, educational inequality, family and the household, race, and gender. He holds a BA in English from Amherst College, and was a high school English teacher in Washington DC prior to enrolling at UW. He is currently a graduate student advisor for the Ronald E. McNair Post-baccalaureate Program.
