Sarah Charlesworth-Attie is a PhD student in the department of Epidemiology. Her current research interests center on survivorship issues among childhood, adolescent, and young adult cancer survivors, including rates and causes of delayed mortality, late effects, and quality of life. Sarah is particularly interested in how patterns in the transition to adulthood may vary between cancer survivors and the general population, and how physical and psychosocial sequelae impact fertility.

Prior to commencing doctoral studies, Sarah was a Maternal and Child Health Leadership Trainee in the Epidemiology MPH program at UW, where she conducted research on predictors of and trends in late prenatal care entry, as well as on socio-demographics and negative life event burden as a factors discriminating adolescents with comorbid versus non-comorbid depressive and conduct disorders.
