Kristy is a doctoral student in the Geography Department. Her research interests include causes, effects, and policy implications of spatial phenomena like concentrated poverty, inequality, segregation, immigration, and mobility. Specifically, she plans to apply spatial statistics to the study of migration and integration of human populations, especially ethnic groups. Prior to starting at University of Washington, Kristy earned a Masters in Urban Spatial Analytics from University of Pennsylvania, and a BA in Sociology and Public Policy from UCLA.
