After completing her MA, Mary King worked as an investigation specialist at Amazon. She is now a compliance analyst with the Human Subjects Division at the University of Washington.
As an MA student, Mary’s research interests included human behavioral ecology and economic anthropology. She worked on a project reconstructing life histories of 19th century migrants to the American frontier. She also looked at aspects of socioeconomic mobility and fertility in migrants. Historical studies provided a unique opportunity to reconstruct demographic patterns over multiple generations within an evolutionary and ecological framework.
