Tram to Present at UW/Fred Hutch CFAR Behavioral Innovations Core Webinar

Posted: 1/3/2025 ()

Geographic mobility has been associated with poorer outcomes across the HIV care cascade. On January 23rd, join CSDE Affiliate Khai Tram (UW Medical Center) for a presentation sponsored by the UW/Fred Hutch Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) that aims to put this issue into context. The presentation is focused on a study conducted in rural KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa which investigates daily mobility of a cohort of young adults at high risk of HIV over a 6-month period. This presentation, entitled “Mobility data for population health: Smartphone GPS traces to measure human mobility in a high HIV prevalence area in rural South Africa” will show how understanding dynamic patterns of movement can help inform location-intelligent mHealth interventions for HIV prevention.
