Now hiring teaching assistants for 2026 ICPSR Summer Program quantitative methods courses!

ICPSR (the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research), a unit within U-M’s Institute for Social Research, hosts a Summer Program in Quantitative Methods that offers 100+ courses in statistics, quantitative and qualitative research methods, and data analysis, from introductory to advanced levels for students, faculty, and researchers.

The Summer Program is now hiring teaching assistants to help with its 40+ General Session classes, including regression analysis, causal inference, Bayesian analysis, multilevel models, SEM, intro stats, machine learning, network analysis, and more. Courses run from June 8-July 31, 2026. All teaching assistants will be expected to work in-person in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Working as an ICPSR Summer Program TA is more than a summer job. It’s an opportunity to join a global network of researchers, instructors, and scholars committed to advancing the social sciences through rigorous methods training. You’ll gain valuable teaching experience, deepen your methodological expertise, and make professional connections that last far beyond the summer.
Pay is $42.10/hour. As a perk, TAs are also able to enroll in methods Courses in the General Session they are employed.
