*New* IAPHS Webinar: How to Archive, Share, and Access Qualitative Data with the Qualitative Data Repository (04/07/26)

Posted: 4/2/2026 (Local Events)

In this IAPHS how-to session, on April 7 from 12:30 – 1:15 PM participants will learn qualitative data‑sharing norms and practices across the health and social sciences. The session will (1) highlight practical steps that researchers can take to keep qualitative materials organized throughout any project, which will allow archiving and re‑use of those materials, (2) illustrate examples of data‑sharing approaches from current published data projects, including sensitive data secured under different levels of access control, (3) demonstrate the deposit process at the repository, and (4) highlight data available for pedagogical purposes. This session is intended for researchers using qualitative or multi‑method techniques who are interested in learning about appropriate and responsible sharing of data.

Dessislava (Dessi) Kirilova has been at the Qualitative Data Repository (QDR) since its founding more than a decade ago and is currently the repository’s associate director. Over the years, she has assisted in shaping the repository’s policies, acquisitions outreach, curatorial support for depositors (including in dealing with human participants and copyright constraints), data management trainings, and the original curation and publication of all commissioned pilot projects when the repository went live in 2014. Read more
