*New* Call for Papers – War and Aging for BMC Geriatrics (04/30/27)

BMC Geriatrics is currently welcoming submissions of original research to a “War and aging” Collection. CSDE Affiliate Amy Hagopian is one of three Guest Editors for the Collection, with Rolf Kleber and Alice Aiken. If you’re interested in submitting a manuscript for the BMC Geriatrics Collection, submissions will be welcomed anytime until 30 April 2027.

To submit your manuscript for consideration at BMC Geriatrics as part of this Collection, please follow the steps detailed on this page. When submitting your manuscript, you will be asked whether you are submitting your manuscript to a Collection. Please select “War and aging” from the drop down list. Authors should also note the Collection in their cover letters. All manuscripts submitted to a Collection are assessed using standard BMC Geriatrics  editorial criteria and peer review processes and are subject to all standard journal policies. All sorts of analytic papers are welcomed. If accepted for publication, an article processing charge applies ($3290, although Springer Nature’s country-tiered APC pricing applies). I’ve been led to understand the journal is open to considering all appeals for fee waivers (for those without a source of funds).
