Jamaica Corker is an independent researcher and consultant specializing in demography and international population dynamics. Her research has focused on fertility and reproductive health in sub-Saharan Africa, migration and urbanization, and the integration of demography and geographic information systems (GIS). She previously worked at the Gates Foundation and has extensive experience in health, emergency response, and family planning programs across sub-Saharan Africa, including several years in the Democratic Republic of Congo with Population Services International (PSI), as well as work with the CDC and WHO during the West African Ebola response. She holds a Master’s degree in Population and Development from the London School of Economics and a PhD in Demography from the University of Pennsylvania.
