Aaron Gullickson is a social demographer whose research focuses on how racial boundaries develop and transform. Much of his work is focused on questions of "race mixing" and how such mixing challenges and transforms racial boundaries, and what ultimately "race mixing" tells us about racial ineuality. He has conducted extensive research on interracial partnering, classification and identification, racial fluidity, and racial inequality. Although much of his work focuses on the contemporary US, he also has experience working with historical and cross-national data. In addition to his substantive areas of interest, Dr. Gullickson is also very interested in statistical methodology and developing and promoting tools for open and transparent research practices. He has extensive experience as a teacher of statistical and research methods.
