15th Summer Institute on Migration and Global Health: “Protecting Migrants and Refugees During Pandemics”

The Health Initiative of the Americas at UC Berkeley is hosting its 15th Annual Summer Institute on Migration and Global Health which will take place virtually over 4 weeks in September. This year’s key topics include the impact of COVID-19 on migrants around the world, global migration history and patterns, global initiatives on migration and health, new immigration policies in the U.S., occupational health for migrants, and the relationship between climate change, migration and pandemics, among other topics. Simultaneous interpretation (English-Spanish) will be offered for the first time ever! Participants will have access to a virtual classroom where they can engage in discussion forums, find supplementary material, and watch the recorded sessions at their own convenience.
