Perspectives on AI and Health: Power, Parity, and the Public Good
Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026
3:00-5:30 PM
North Creek Events Center
Who benefits from AI in health contexts, who bears its costs, and what does meaningful oversight actually require?
As AI reshapes healthcare systems, public health practice, and the conditions of daily life, urgent questions about power, equity, and accountability demand our collective attention. This event brings together leading voices to examine AI from interdisciplinary, ecological, and intersectional perspectives.
Moving beyond industry narratives and hype, we will explore the health implications and opportunities of AI, the policy landscape and governance gaps, and discuss how communities and the broader public can move from passive subjects of AI development to co-creators of technologies that increasingly impact the health of individuals, communities, and our global society.
Event schedule:
3:00-4:30 – Hybrid Panel Discussion with AI experts Ariana Aboulafia, Hugo Campos, Abre’ Conner, Margaret Mitchell, and Brittany Trang
4:30-4:45 – Light refreshments
4:45 – 5:30 Round Table Dialogues
This event is free and open to the public. Space is limited, so please register ahead of time at https://tinyurl.com/AIHealth26.
