*New* Voices from the Data Community, a Briefing on the EMERGE Project (06/30/26)

The EMERGE Initiative seeks to support public data advocates in upholding the principles of transparency and evidence-based governance through advancing access to reliable, publicly accessible data. The work of our community serves as a crucial resource for state administrators, researchers, policymakers, journalists, and the American public.  As a starting point, the project team conducted a thorough review of how emerging data gaps are impacting users of public data and identified steps to help the community navigate some of the short-term challenges.
