Introduction to Bayesian Statistics: Likelihoods, Priors, & Posteriors
Instructor: Jessica Godwin
This workshop is a 2 hour introduction to the necessary math, probability, and statistics needed to specify a Bayesian model. We will start with Bayes’ Rule, then cover likelihoods, conjugacy, and why Bayesian estimation is complicated.
Bring paper, a pencil, and an eraser!!
Prerequisites |
Some introduction to probability, integral calculus, and maximum likelihood estimation is ideal. |
