NASA Transform to Open Science training (TOPSt)
Date: 11/05/2024 and 11/07/2024
Time: 10:00AM-1:00PM
Location Online only.
Taught by Cameron Riddell & James Powell (Don’t Use This Code) and organized as part of the NASA Transform to Open Science training initiative, this workshop is a wonderful and comprehensive introduction to Open Science principles and practices in data science and for quantitative research in general.
The target audience is graduate students in their first or second year, or those with little exposure to the principles and practices that enable open and reproducible science when analyzing data and writing code. Applications in Python, but the content is broadly applicable. No prior knowledge required.
Attendance at both sessions is required to receive credit for the NASA Open Science digital badge, which you can proudly display on professional platforms such as LinkedIn and ORCiD. This badge symbolizes a commitment to open science and proficiency in key skills that are increasingly recognized and valued in the research community.
