Now Accepting Applications: Global Innovation Fund

The UW Office of Global Affairs (OGA) is now accepting applications for the Spring 2022 Global Innovation Fund (GIF) award cycle. GIF seeds projects focused on expanding international research and learning at the UW, and we are especially interested in supporting proposals by new entrants and early career faculty.  There are three categories of awards for this cycle:

Hill & Rowhani-Rahbar Publish Invited Commentary in JAMA Network Open

CSDE Affiliates Heather Hill and Ali Rowhani-Rahbar recently published commentary, available HERE, on the implications of recent research that found an association between the Child Tax Credit (CTC) and food insufficiency. Hill and Rowhani-Rahbar highlight that while the CTC was not designed as a health policy, the 26% reduction of food insufficiency found by Shafer et al. (2022) suggests that income support policies also serve as health policies, supporting the health of children.

Addictions, Drug & Alcohol Institute Grants Deadlines Approaching

A reminder that the ADAI Small Grants Program deadline is March 15th and if you are interested in applying please submit a CSDE Planning Proposal Submission Form. We are here to help!

UW researchers should consider the Small Grants Program as a resource to help develop research through initial funding for promising pilot projects which may ultimately be developed into full studies with outside funding.
