CSDE Affiliates Heather Hill and Ali Rowhani-Rahbar recently published commentary, available HERE, on the implications of recent research that found an association between the Child Tax Credit (CTC) and food insufficiency. Hill and Rowhani-Rahbar highlight that while the CTC was not designed as a health policy, the 26% reduction of food insufficiency found by Shafer et al. (2022) suggests that income support policies also serve as health policies, supporting the health of children.
