Zhang, Xu, and Zhao Propose Methodological Approach for ‘Big Data’ Analyses

Shaozeng Zhang, with CSDE Affiliates Dafeng Xu and Bo Zhao recently published a new article in Methodological Innovations. First, the authors develop a methodological approach which guides the selection and processing of big data to make big data smaller and structured for analyses within social sciences conventional methods. Second, the authors apply this methodology to Google’s mobility dataset to conduct a difference-in-differences analysis of social distancing behavior.
