Description
CSDE 501 is a weekly interdisciplinary seminar series in which scholars at UW and visiting scholars around the world present on important demographic topics. These seminars include presentations on new research, author meets critic discussions, panel discussions on contemporary issues, and practice presentation sessions for graduate students attending the Population Association of American annual conference. CSDE also holds an opening and closing celebration to highlight students’ and affiliates’ accomplishments. These seminars are attended by the entire CSDE community.
Graduate students may also meet with visiting scholars after the seminar series to discuss research and professional development. These group meetings are held from 1:30-2:15pm and in-person meetings include a light lunch.
